“Yummy breakfast, oh my the biscuits and pie!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

We planned to eat at Mama's in North Beach but the line looked like Disneyland on Spring Break. So we waited 15 minutes and couldn't have been happier than we were. Three scrambles plus a daily special scramble. My mushroom, chive and Emmenthaler scramble was delicious - perfect - and oh my! The flaky savory biscuit it came with was AMAZING. My husband loved the special scramble with bacon on house-made focaccia. The two quiches were well received by other diners. I wish I'd been brave enough for the waffle with banana, walnuts and whipped cream, or a slice of the homemade berry pies. I gained 5 lbs looking at them.

Tall ceilings, big windows, outdoor seating under the red awnings looking out on Washington Square. They are doing so much right here including friendly prompt service, despite being busy. Go for it!

“Food was OK, entertainment was excellent!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

We chose Cafe Divine simply because it was down the street from our hotel and we were hungry and tired after traveling all day. The food and service were fine, but nothing to rave about. Wines by the bottle were very reasonably priced, with an eclectic selection. The star of the evening, though, was the live entertainment... the lovely and talented Diana Strong on accordion. It was the perfect way to wind down in the evening. I loved Diana's transcriptions of Chopin piano pieces. Next time she is there, do stop in!

“Quintessential San Francisco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great atmosphere, great food. Dropped in while visiting the North Beach district of San Francisco for a cup of coffee and a lite snack. The service was excellent, the coffee was made as we waited and the sandwich was was great. The place was filled with both locals and out of towners. I highly recommend the place to anyone in the area.

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

had a breakfast over there few days ago: Bennies From Heaven. It was absolutely fantastic. quirky staff its good description. waiter friendly and energetic while waitress had some "Principessa" attitude, it added flavor to this morning as its not only food but experience as well... Coffee, juice was great also reasonable price. Cant compare it with Mamas but seen very long queue over there while walking to Fishermans Warf so it has to be something too ;) Any way will go there if around.
