Having eaten at many Roy's, I'll eventually learn not to trust those outside of Hawaii. They just aren't the same. The menus are somewhat different, legitimately due to differences in the availability of fresh ingredients, but the local menus don't seem adjusted to take advantage of what's available in California. The execution just isn't there, and when coupled with high prices, the experience can't be rated very highly. If you're a foodie, look elsewhere while in SF, and save your Roy's money for Waikiki.
