“Slices of Heaven in that Cherry Cornmeal Scone”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

Arizmendi has been in the Inner Sunset for about 12 years. They have been baking quality products are reasonable prices since opening.

Breads--delicious!

Scones--especially the sweet cornmeal and cherry--are delightful. Grab one of those plus a latte and you'll be set for breakfast.

The espresso is fair, but you get a 16oz latte with 2 shots for $3.50.. a bargain.

Check out everything from muffins to delicious cookies, baguettes, challah, cheese sticks, honey wheat bread, scones, and more.

“Bakery Pizza?”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

All their baked goods I have tried have been delicious.

A few days ago I ordered their pizza.

Since it is a bakery, I expected the crust to be good. It exceeded my expectations the crust was the best I have had in a long time. Just the right texture, thickness, & flavor. The real surprise was how they topped it off. The feta cheese tasted homemade & fresh. The pesto sauce was flavorful without being overwhelming.

They only offer 1 flavor of pizza daily, and different locations make different flavors of pizza so call the location to ensure they have a flavor you will like.

The pesto pizza was from their Valencia street location. The 9th Ave. location was offering a Chinese lunar new year special pizza with baby bok choy, mixed mushrooms, & sesame-ginger-garlic vinaigrette.

“favorite ritual”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

Everything here is wonderful, but my favorite is their bran muffin. It has the perfect crumb, and is dotted with raisons AND walnuts. That a coffee with their organic milk reads heaven.

Otherwise, everything here is delicious. Pizza!!!

9th and Irving is the best!

“The best bakery in SF?”
Reviewed October 22, 2011

I think it is the best bakery in SF. If not for the fine fine "city bread", for the atmosphere of joy... and happiness that it brings to me and my sunset community.

sunday mornings never felt better.

wake up... coffee... bring some champagne before stopping in at the bakery.. head to golden gate park for muffins and mimosas?

I feel bad for living so well when I was in the Sunset.

Employee owned co-op style management... real committed artists staying true to an ancient craft. There is nothing in here you won't find delectable. My faves are the rye rolls, the cherry and chocolate rolls, okay... just about any roll will knock your socks off.

Their pizzas are also delicious, and a nice break from the triangle slices. =)

“So glad I found this place”
Reviewed June 17, 2010

Try the granola! It's the best I've ever had! We bought 1 bag with the intent on taking it back home. We made the mistake of opening it for a taste...eventually we went back for 3 more bags before we flew back home,
The pizza was amazing, too! great flavours, so fresh.
Stop here on your way to Golden Gate Park!
