“Good Location & Clean”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

We stayed here for 3 nights, when we arrive the check in was slow. The reception guy was slow but polite. Parking is limited however we had no parking problems as there were not fully booked.

The room is small but clean and comfy enough. Bed was not huge but clean sheets and comfy. There is a window where people from the corridor can look into so if you want privacy, keep the curtains close. Bathroom was clean eventhough small. The free breakfast only provides toast, 1-2 types of pastries, coffee and diluted juice. We rather have breakfast outside then having the free breakfast.

Well, what can you expect for a reasonable price in that location, most importantly is clean.

We checked our room last year 2 July 2013 at 19.00, it was stinky and also very loud with the window in Lombard Street.
We ask to the lady of the front desk for change the room but she said no room was available. so we decide stay only one night and I and my wife we prepare stay the entire night awakened by the traffic.
We open the window from 19.00 to 23.00 but the very unplesed smell not go way complete.
The Marina area is very nice with a lot small shop and reastaurant, we try a small thay reastaurant and it was grat food and very friendly staff.

We booked a 2 night stay here and it was very pleasing, free continental breakfast, free wifi, large comfortable rooms with a great location to the bridge, Alcatraz & Pier 39. There was a bit of traffic noise but the hotel is on a busy main road.

A plus here is free parking wifi and nice sheets and duvet.
We were given a front street view room in line with the pavement. No rear rooms available.
The noise was unbelievable for somewhere you had paid to sleep.
Even with ear plugs it was bad. More insulating needs to be done on the front rooms.
Maybe the back rooms are fine.
The breakfast room is small and the selection and quality leaves a lot to be desired.
$159 per night should get a better nights stay on a Tuesday.

Room Tip: Only take a room at rhe back.

Great location. Very close to major attractions like Golden Gate Bridge, piers, and also the steepest street in SFO. You can also walk down to the crooked end of the Lombard street if you are in the habit of walking around a bit. The room was rather tiny with little space to move around, but that didn't matter much cause we were out the whole day and came in only at night to sleep and then move out in the morning after a quick shower. The shower is acutely tiny with just about space for a single person to squeeze in, but clean. Room service was good and bathroom was kept clean with a change of towels.
The free breakfast was fine, except that having cereals would be a good idea( they had oats though). Since we were staying during christmas, it was crowded and they ran out of fruits the first day, and coffee the day after. It would also be extremely helpful if they put in a newer and bigger microwave since the one present was slow and there was always a huge line of people waiting to warm up their milk.
Parking space was tight and on our 3rd day we came back late night and couldn't find a proper parking space. The man at the counter was less than polite and said that they followed a 'first come first serve' basis for parking which might mean that you may not get parking. When we pointed out that they mentioned 'free parking' in their list of amenities, and that we would write about it on Trip Advisor, he softened a bit and directed us to park right beside the handicapped parking spot. There are always a few guests who park in a wrong way blocking 2 parking spots which cause such situations in these motels.

Cute, spotless, upscale boutique motel. I stayed a week, and was upgraded free to a king suite with a view of the Golden Gate, due to a booking glitch that was not their mistake. Huge room, with coffee/fridge/micro, and a luxe bathroom, and huge fluffy towels. The lobby is beautiful, the staff are unusually friendly and helpful, and genuinely grateful. Nice breakfast, in a dining room watching the action on Lombard. Best location, and best value, on Lomabard. Mass transit is a block away, walk to the bay, the Palace of Fine Arts, tons of markets and restaurants. Also, they didn't charge my card until a week after my stay, but I don't know if that's their policy. If you like to hike, it's around the corner from Davisidero Street- you can hike up to the peak of Pacific Heights on the steepest road in San Francisco, for views that will take your breath away!

Room Tip: There are only two king suites, 2nd and 3rd floor- if you can, get the 3rd floor king with a sweepin...

Great Location, very clean, great bathroom setup- especially for 2 people. Husband has Procedures done at UCSF -Divisidero and Parnassus and both easy to get to from Motel.
Had room in back so noise not a problem. No perfumery smells -a real problem with husband's allergies.
Super nice people in office! Very helpful. Great Price. Has plenty of Free Parking and our mid-sized car had no trouble fitting.
Only reason not a 5 rating---they do need new mattresses - lumpy and could feel the springs on both beds.

A TV Channel Guide would be nice.

Room Tip: Rooms on back are very quiet.
