“Great Value-Perfect Location”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Stayed here for 2 nights to enjoy the Wharf and it was worth the while. Usually stay at a Marriott location but between the room cost and the parking, the Wharf Inn was worth a try. Now its not the 4 Seasons, but let me say that there is great value here, and a person should know what level of accommodations when buying-in other words, do some research so there wont be a reason to grumble afterward :-). First the location: for easy access to the bay and all it has to offer, you cant get much closer; second, the parking is free and definitely a plus since short hops around the bay and Embarcadero can be accomplished on trolley or any public transportation if needed. The room was clean, well serviced, a good sized bathroom and had a secure elevator to the floors. The front desk staff are helpful and there all the time to answer questions or help out. Yes, the walls are a little thin for loud mates and 'door slammers' :-) next door and there is no hair dryer (note to self to remember that next time) but in the long run....well worth the value and I would stay again for a short bayside visit.

I picked this hotel because of the location and free parking, it wasn't worth the price doing construction next door woken up everyday at 5am should tell guests that is going on and room is from the 1980's yuck, not as there wed-site said newly appointed rooms

If you took the hotel and put it somewhere else, it would probably only rank 2-3 stars due to its appearance and age, However, three things elevate this modest hotel's rating: proximity to the wharf and north beach areas of SF - I don't think there is any hotel or motel that's closer; the room and bathroom although very basic were comfortable and very clean; and the free parking. The parking is a big thing! I actually had a discount for a room at the nearby Hyatt for less than the room at the Wharf Inn, but parking was $50/night! Also, even though checkout is at 11:00, they let you leave your car until 3:00, which is another bonus. Overall a great find; we'll use it again.

Room Tip: Rooms on or opening up to Mason can be noisy, try to get one away from the street.

Only half a block from Fisherman's Wharf very convenient location. It is a little noisy from the 7-Eleven across the street. Rooms are a little dated however we stayed in the penthouse suite which was very spacious and it was clean I would recommend friends stay here and it wasn't that expensive for hotel in San Francisco.

Right between Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Short walk to Ghiradelli square and nice restaurants. There is a Safeway and Trader Joe's a block away. With google maps it easy to get in and out of Fisherman's Wharf while avoiding the traffic. The rooms are fine and the area is noisy but the rooms in the back are very quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

Bit noisy but comes with location.1 min walk to pier 42 and very close to many attractions.
Price comparingly to other hotels in area is reasonable at 250 a nite.
Got there quick from the airport on bart then F line streetcar right to the hotel ,no taxi needed.

Just what we were looking for, reasonably priced for the area, great location, clean, comfortable bed, adequate space and a helpful staff. A bit of street noise but easily "drowned out" by the bathroom fan for "white noise". We would use this inn again.
