I am an owner of Shell Vacations club. This is a property in the heart of San Francisco. I was really impressed by the size of the rooms for a downtown hotel. There is also a club floor with patio and relaxing environment. Its to bad that the city can clean up its act it is sad to see so many homeless people when there is so much wealth in the city. Great location to shopping and dining. I will definately be back

The Donatello is in a great location near Union Square. The staff were pleasant, yet you will want to avoid the pitch to buy a timeshare. The room space was comfortable, and with kitchen accessories. There is a television in the bathroom mirror, which was fun. We were on the 8th floor and there was no street noise in the room. Access to the top floor with a concierge to help with reservations or recommendations --- and tea and coffee in the lounge. Our only complaint during our visit was extremely loud on Saturday morning - with loud banging on pipes and the floor below throughout the morning. The rooms are best for 2 people, not a family of 4.

Nice place - GREAT location.

They are remodeling and upgrading, but their new heating system is INFURIATING! Every day when we leave, they reset it remotely (or manually) to 67 degrees and the room is freezing when we return. To make it worse, the thermostat in the room operates off a long delay - and often doesn't work. You have to call the desk who calls engineering who hopefully resets your temperature / heater to work again. Second call a few minutes ago and it's finally starting to heat up 10 minutes after the second call - about 30 minutes after we first tried. I really like this place, but they need to get this fixed. It's in the 40s outside and not a lot better inside......

Room Tip: Request a patio room on the fifth floor.

We i decided to stay at this hotel after long research to find a great place in San Francisco. The room is enormous, vey clean and silent, which is excellent. The guys from the front desk were very helpful abd the location couldn’t be more perfect. Very very close to the union square! Highly recommended.

It’s fair to say that people serving this hotel is very polite and helpful, but hotel lacks breakfast (only in room service is served- ridiculous) and the offer something called “The Club” as a complimentary service located on top flor which just has cofee, tea and water.
Nothing to eat.
It’s far away form Sheraton’s Club Lounge.
My advice: stay at the JW Marriott which is across the street, or any other big brand hotel.
You won’t surely regret, as we do with The Donatello
