Had a good room on the 37th floor with a view of the bay.
Short walk to market st and union sq.
Had breakfast around the corner at Mels Diner and Denny's.
Parked in the local shopping mall at 36 dollars per 24 hrs, much cheaper than the hotel.
Worth popping into the bar on the top floor for a Panaramic view of SF.
Free wireless in the lobby.
Would most definatly stay again.

Room Tip: Room on a high floor for a view

Wow. Soooo maaannny tourrrrisssts!!! Are you kidding!? And I thought this was a business hotel. Two huge conferences at Moscone Center = full hotel. But no worries! Staff was on top of their game. At check in, literally spent a good five minutes trying to find the best Gold upgrade for me. I was impressed. There was a line to check in but staff took time to go above and beyond, showing personal attention to detail that I appreciated.

Lobby was packed with tourists and whatnot making the lounge a quiet oasis. Rooms: standard Marriott rooms. To be expected. Lounge breakfast was decent.

Overall, super impressed by legit staff who were not phased in the slightest by busy busy busy!

Room Tip: Get a "towers" room 17F+ for a sweet NE view of SF and harbor.

Attended a conference at the Marriott, and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights.

As expected in downtown San Francisco, accommodations were not inexpensive. Add-ons like room service ($50+ for a soup and salad with bottled water, inclusive of mandatory service charge) and valet parking made sure of this.

Had the interior accommodations been of higher quality, I would not have minded the rates as much. My room had a musty smell, which was remedied by opening the windows (fortunately it was nice outside). Also, the hot water took some time to start flowing each time I took a shower (I was on the 10th floor). This said, the cleaning services were great, and were flexible to work around my schedule.

The best thing about this hotel was the location. It is very central to shopping, dining and attractions. The 101 is a straight shot down 4th, which makes it easy to get to the highway.

The hotel wasn't bad, but I would probably try another in the vicinity before staying here again.

Room Tip: Multiple elevator banks are convenient and swift.

This hotel is in a superb location, opposite Bloomingdales and near to Maceys and Union Square. The hotel is clean. The staff without exception are so helpful especially the gentleman on the Concierge desk. They will recommend places to eat and how to get there. Don't forget to visit Mel's diner - excellent value.

Nice hotel. This time they gave us an executive king instead of a regular king. Nice corner room with sitting area as well as the bedroom area (although its not separated).

Since last visit, they moved the Concierge Lounge. Its now on the second floor and it has alot of space. Food is much improved. That being said, its not very comfortable as there are no couches, sitting areas, etc - just tables to eat at - which I guess is why most people go to the lounge.

Same issue as last time with the doorman. He is more interested in taking tips from the private car service than in getting you a cab. He pushes the private cars. We watched two separate cars pull up and give him cash. Then he had the audacity to count it in front of the taxi line. We complained about this on our last visit. Clearly they either didn't follow up or he didn't get the message.

Probably wouldn't return to this hotel.

Nice hotel. We were there with a large group. Even larger groups were there at the same time -Ohio State marching band and Chinese dragon oat paddlers. Multiple busses picking up at same time and there did not seem to be any confusion one suggestion is to have a walkway to bus pickup on Mission as we had to walk through driveway.
