We stayed here for three nights for the San Francisco leg of our road trip. When we checked in she mentioned we had a nice room (112) as we were staying for three nights. It was huge - though this is standard in the US. Yes it was decorated in a dated style and it was reminiscent of an 80’s TV set but ... it was clean and fresh and the towels were good quality. There is free coffee on tap downstairs which was good coffee and pastries for breakfast that you collect every day. The location is fabulous. Polk Street is nearby and there are lots of great eateries. We ate at Thai Spice and it was very good. Another tip - we went in late afternoon to the little deli on the corner and they were selling their cakes off at half price - superb muffins.
Do watch the parking as you can get blocked in but ask reception and they will ask the person to move their car. A tip would be to park on the right hand side of the car park as people tended to double park on the left as they came in.
All in all it was a comfortable and pleasant stay in what can be a very expensive City.
