Great Value

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Dec 14, 2018
It's hard to find an affordable place to stay in SF so I highly recommend Nob Hill Motor Inn. The rooms aren't fancy but they are clean, it's in a great location, we walked to Lombard and it was central to Uber everywhere else. If you drive, there is free parking. The free breakfast is just doughnuts and pastries and a coffee machine so we didn't bother with it. Next door is the greatest cheese, wine and sandwich shop I have ever seen so we bought room food there. The lobby might concern you when you first arrive, it is very small and a bit grimy but the lady was nice and for the price you can't expect marble.

Functional motel with friendly, helpful staff and free parking. Fine for 2-nights stay in San Fran during a 2-week’s roadtrip around Cali, but not where husband and I’d stay on a different kind of / city holiday. Nice local bar not far away with more friendly and helpful staff. Everything within walking distance.

I visited this motel togehter with some friends, sharing a larger room/suite.
The room was what to expect from a low price motel. A bit stuck in the 80´s but functional. As we were not staying in the room for more than 2 nights and being out during the day, I wouldnt hasitate to stay here again for a short period of time. Ok clean, ok service. The breakfast however, not what I expected. It says "Continental breakfast" on the booking and on the sign. Theres no dining room and the breakfast contains of donuts, muffins, croissants and a very slow coffe maker. Self served in the reception.
Parking is available for no extra cost. A big plus for that. The location is ok. We had to pass a few rough areas but I have just been in San Francisco once before, perhaps this is more common than I thought. Catch an Uber or Lyft, never more than minutes away.

I have stayed here 4 times over the years. It is ideally located with free parking. The rooms are clean but tired. New carpeting is a necessity, bathroom needs new vanity and shower stall. Water pressure is good so is mini fridge and microwave. TV is blurry. Needs to be fixed. Most important update carpets and bathrooms

Ok the rooms are a little dated, but the rooms are clean and tidy- the cleaning staff were amazing and our room was always cleaned well. Two teenage boys create a mess.
Cameron on the front desk is an absolute star and we loved yarning with him.
Only downer is if there are stupid people who let their kids run along the balcony at 630 in the morning you will be woken!,
