Great location but overpriced

Review of Hotel Abri
3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 30, 2017
Location was brilliant however it was very difficult and expensive to park in the area.
Beds are quite uncomfortable due to the old condition of the mattresses.
The best thing were the toiletries.
It's nice that they have free coffee available in the mornings.

The hotel is in a great location, close to Union Square, BART, and MUNI. The room was larger than I expected and very quiet. Hotel staff was very friendly and the welcome bag they give you at check-in was a nice touch. My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was TERRIBLE. Aside from that, though, I would totally stay here again.

Very nice stay. If the room is facing Ellis Street, you experience loud noises due to traffic. Other than that, the experience was nice and we were able to relocate to another room. The staff was nice and helpful.

I ordered a stay for 2 adults and a child 7 years old via booking.com. Grandma, son and grandson. We looked forward to a good stay at a nice hotell after a laborious week. Thats often why people go to a hotell because they wants to relax:-) When we arrived the hotell it was 3 female, not welcoming receptionist telling us that we only had ordered for 2 and that we had to pay $60 more. The location and the rooms was good but the receptionist did not welcoming us in a good way.

Dear 796mayl,

Please accept my sincere apology if your check-in process did not go well. Please know that we did not charged you for the third person. Your booking was for a king deluxe room which is a room with 1 king bed which is why the front desk offered you an upgrade to an urban suite for an additional $30+tax so that your family can be comfortable in the room. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. Please call booking.com if you have any questions regarding your booking. Thank you for you feedback.

Nice room but big hidden fees at checkout, had to jump through hoops to get the compulsory 30% gratuity removed. The fee was never mentioned until I was checking out and the price was much higher than I was expecting!
