Nice hotel near shopping and trolley stop.
This was our fist time traveling to San Francisco, and we had a little trouble finding the hotel. But I think that was our fault. The hotel is just over a block away from the Bart station and from the lower end of the trolley. We walked past the street the hotel is on as it was not marked well.
The hotel looks like is was recently renovated.
The hotel staff is friendly an helpful.
When we got to our room, the bathroom was quite small and did not look anything like what is shown on the website. We called down to the front desk and they offered for us to look at another room. We did, and that room looked like what was on the website and the hotel gracefully changed our room.
That room has a spacious bathroom and nice size bedroom with a king size bed. Our only complaint about the bathroom is there was NO water pressure in the shower. My guess is no flow shower head to conserve water.
The hotel is clean and the maid service was good.
The hotel provided a couple of bottles of water and a bottle of wine in a nice travel bag. The water was great as the city was in a rare heat wave. The room has an air conditioner and was comfortable.
We had a very unusual problem with the drawers not staying shut. Maybe something to do with the recent renovation. We did not report it right away, but repair staff showed up to fix the issue as we were leaving.
The views from the hotel are not the reason to go to this hotel. Either of a wall, or of the building across from the hotel.
The next block from the hotel has some renovations going on, and is not very active. There is quite a bit of homeless/street people. My guess is this will change as the renovations are completed.
This hotel is near to shopping, the transportation and the trolley.
We would stay there again.
