Good location in Fisherman's Wharf. Less than a mile walk to Little Italy, where there are many restaurants to choose from. Hotel is near some restaurants as well. Close walk to Lombard Street and Ghiradelli Square.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Quiet room overlooking the courtyard was nice, but remember to close the curtains as the windows face other guest rooms. Bathroom was big enough. Room had a fridge, which was great for drinks. AC worked well. Overall a nice room in a decent location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the street and facing the courtyard.

We stay for five nights, because it was close to the Wharf( three blocks). Upon arriving at 1 am they try to give me a king street side, while I paid for king courtyard. They gave me a double courtyard, but the guy was miserable at 1 am. Other than that it is well worth the money. We ate breakfast three times, very pricey, but good. Margie is the greatest at breakfast always very pleasant and helpful, Also Alphonso the conierge was very helpful in selecting were to eat at night and gave us a around of drinks for four on the house a nice jesture. These are two very nice people that do their jobs and some. Thank You again. The beds were very comfortable and maids did a great jobs. Room service was very good and meal was hot. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a courtyard if available, street is noisy.

Stayed there for 3 nights while in San Francisco. Was a comfortable hotel. The location was very close to Fisherman's Wharf.

Staff was very friendly and provided good suggestions for meals and attractions.

Nice location, good size rooms and very friendly staff. A fairly easy walk to Fishermans Wharf, Pier 39 and Ghiradelli Square. Pricey and not super fancy but not bad for San Fran prices. No pool but not alot of hotels in area have them - Sheraton does but not very high quality hotel - Marriott was nicer. Good location for touristy trips.

In SF for two nights, my wife selected the Marriott SF Fisherman's Wharf to use her points; it was a good call....just leave your car behind! Here's why:

The Marriott is located two blocks from the water and in the middle of the Fisherman's Wharf area. If you like being surrounded by this touristy area: you're in luck. Otherwise, if you enjoy a good walk - as we did - it's a pleasant 1.8 miles to the Ferry Building Marketplace and Financial District.

The hotel itself is clean and functional. The main lobby is a bit blah but if you're not hanging out in the hotel, you may not notice. We did not eat at the hotel.

Maid service was efficient. The bed was firm and comfortable; the pillows mushy and horrible. Our room, on the 3rd floor and facing the Bay, was quiet at night.

Parking is $50/night with in/out privileges. There is a nearby public garage with $32/night parking. My advice: lose the car and use the MUNI or BART.

Overall, there were no deficiencies and we enjoyed our stay.
