Great location, very short walk to wharf! 10 minute walk to pier 39 which is a must see so fun! We ate at crab house which I highly recommend, see review. Nice breakfast bistro with Starbucks coffee, made to order hot breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, granola parfait s. comfortable booths with flat screens is a treat. Hallways and lobby must have lily scented infusers its nice. Self service laundry available. Air conditioners are great!

Lobby has almost no seating area if you need some place to relax. No views. No dinner, bars or lunch. Rooms and beds are average or adequate, no views to speak of that I saw. I would stay here again but if avail for same price next time i would choose the Marriott fisherman's wharf, I stopped in lobby and it looked very nice, updated and contemporary style with tons of lounge areas tvs, bars and 1 block away. Only drawback is $50 for parking there instead of the $35 here.

My 10 year old and I stayed one night at this hotel in the Fisherman's Wharf area, located between the two cable car lines. For the Priceline rate of $98, the King suite was a good value because the room was clean, modern, and in a great location for tourists. The parking fee was $50 plus taxes, which came out to $57.03 after taxes. No wireless or breakfast was included in the nightly rate.

We stayed for two nights, explored on foot Fisherman's Wharf, and by car
San Francisco, the Golden Bay Bridge, Sausalito and the wine growing areas Sonora and Napa Valley. This was our third visit (from Europe) in
30 years and as exciting as each time previously. The hotel is not only ideally situated (you can chose between valet and public parking). Its staff is very helpful, notably the concierge with chinese roots. If you feel under 30 years old, go to Pier 39. Otherwise chose the opposite direction. We did both. Not to forget, the hotel met all our expectations regarding comfort and
quality.

Find myself staying here more and more even on business trips for several reasons. First is location - right off the main drag of Fishermans Wharf with easy access to anything in the area. Steps to great food, shopping and sights. Second it is of normal Marriott standards meaning clean and comfortable. Not fancy and the nature of the tourist area leads it to be a little more hectic in the lobby and common areas - but since I normally stay here while in the city for business, it is still calm enough to manage your day. Finally the staff here is really good. The valets, check-in and concierge are very friendly, engaging and always willing to help. Really stands out.

The rooms are functional along the lines of most Courtyards. They are large by SF standards. Good sized bathroom and updated flat screen TV. Like anywhere in SF, parking is expensive. Valet is $36/night while self-park is $30. Parking garage is attached so not that hard to get in and out though can get crowded during busy periods.

Lobby is not big and not many areas to sit and congregate.

This ends up being one of my choices for work since you can easily sneak in some sight seeing if off hours.

Loved the location - so close to Fishermen's Wharf and Pier 39 with the sea lions, Ghiradelli square, the cable car, double decker bus tours (hop on and off), restaurants , shopping and In and Out Burger (a must!). The rooms were very clean and comfortable - and I loved the little sitting area for relaxing with a cup of coffee (wish they had creamers rather than the dry packaged creamer but that's me). The staff was always so friendly, helpful and welcoming. When one person wasn't able to help with certain directions - they asked someone who knew their way better around the city ( we would need to drive out of the city during the marathon). Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

While the hotel is conveniently located in Fisherman's wharf and the lobby staff are wonderful, I was disappointed with the decor and the odor. I am not sure whether it is a cleaning product, an air freshener, or some other source, but the smell of the public areas is cloying and nauseating. The smell in our room, a bit musty, wasn't much better and it took me a little while to get to the point where I didn't notice it. The room was clean however, and that's more important to me. The hotel just seems like it could use redecorating as the orange tone comes across as a bit dated and the silk chrysanthemum bunches are fraying and just flat out weird looking. The cleanliness and competence of the staff certainly make it a perfectly suitable place to stay in the area, but if I'd had a choice I might have changed hotels just to get away from the smell and all that orange.

My wife and her young children and I stayed at the Fisherman's Wharf Marriott to see the high lights of San Francisco before departing to Yosemite National Park. Our stay was short but great. We walked from the hotel to the wharf restaurants, aquadic park, and even caught a ride on the Cable Cars to Union Square. We also went to the Exploritorium at Pier 15/17 but had to drive a short distance to get there.

The staff was very helpful, courteous and went out of their way to provide directions and helpful hints. With 2 adults and three children we needed two rooms. Although we had rooms right next to each other, it would have been much nicer to have connecting rooms like in other Marriotts.
