“Clean and spacious but annoying internet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

+ spacious rooms
+ expandable desk, good working space
+ nice gym, though only open from 6am to 11pm (would appreciate earlier opening hours)
+ filtered coffee machine in-room, iron+ironing board
+ power sockets conveniently located exactly where needed
- internet requesting re-authentication for every device and session - with three devices I had to be consciously deciding when to be online and enter my name, room number and confirm a usage agreement at least 10 times per day.
- water in vending machines at reception
- no in-room safe box

This is the 4th Courtyard visited on this 9 day trip and it has lived up to all expectations. Ask for an E-King room - there are only 3-4 in the hotel and they an extra seating area with couch, making for a much more spacious experience. Great location for all the tourist spots along the piers. Tons of restaurant options within easy walking distance.

Great spot but like everything else in San Francisco, it's overrated and over priced. The staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful, rooms are small and it costs almost $50 per day just to park your car. Rooms are small and noisy.

The location is about three blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. It is very quiet and clean. There is a a little cafe downstairs that offers breakfast and it was an easy choice. There is valet parking with in and out privileges and it was $36 a day, which is cheap for San Francisco The beds are quite comfortable. The only drawback is that it offers free wifi in the rooms and it did not work. The wifi must have been a fluke. We would stay here again.

The exterior of the hotel and hallways were a bit dated and worn, however, the rooms and common areas were clean and upgraded. The elevators were broken the day we checked in so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The front desk and conceirge staff were very friendly and helpful! The location is just steps from Fisherman's Wharf! The onsite parking was expensive ($36/d), however, there is a public garage next door that is $32/d. We opted for the hotel parking because it was unlimited in/out whereas the garage was pay each in/out. The cafe had minimal choices and was overpriced. Don't bank on having a rollaway bed!

If you are looking for a clean hotel with a good location, this is the place for you. Our family of 5 stayed there for 2 nights and cold walk to all the major locations and attractions such as the cable car, Alcatraz, Fishermans Wharf. Parking is right next store. We would stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel when traveling to the Wharf area twice in the last 6 months, i'm afraid this will be my last.
The location is tough to beat, for sure. But this courtyard is as basic as it gets. And as a Marriott rewards member, I love the brand and see a wide variety of their hotels.
I have found myself in the 'handicap' room on the 4th floor both times, avoid these rooms for the water drains to the middle of the bathroom and thus becomes a safety issue.
Not that you typically spend a ton of time in your room while in the area, but I found the room to be a bit worn down and just not the quality I expect from Marriott.
Hopefully Marriott decides to reinvest in the property soon to be more reflective of their brand/standards.
