We spent two nights here and the location was perfect. Easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf, great restaurants and tours. Our room was comfortable, though nothing really special considering the relatively high price. However, the service was good and we did really enjoy our stay.

There is a restaurant in the hotel that is open for breakfast and dinner only, but the sister property next door does have a Denny's for quick meals, if necessary. But with all the great choices all around, good meals are not hard to come by!

Downside: the parking at the hotel is extremely expensive!

Stayed 3 nights on points, great service in booking, early arrival, neat and clean room, good view of a park, close to major attractions and activities! Fantastic service at the front desk, concierge help depended on who was on duty, but everyone was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here in the future, thank you HI!

We booked a room here for one night through credit card travel points (worth about $250). Service was terrific, the front desk was very helpful and let us store our luggage in a safe place after check out. Our room had a horrible view (other rooms straight across, couldn't see street or anything), but figured that's what you get for using travel points. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, lots of choices. The location was perfect - could walk to everything including Alcatraz pier. Overall it was good, just the view was bad but there are worse things to complain about.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf and all of the shops.
Only downside was the parking fee to park in the hotel parking lot...$50.00 US...that on top of the hotel rate! Staff were helpful for directions, etc. Would stay again.

We stopped here for three nights during a 4 week trip around the West Coast. The hotel is in an ideal location to see all of San Francisco.

There was a bit of a faff booking in as the room wasn't ready as we had arrived early as we had miscalculated how long the journey to get there on a motorbike would take. We were sent off and told to return at 3pm when the room would be ready. We weren't too happy as we were in motorcycle leathers, they did at least offer to store our luggage until we returned.

We were offered parking at $45 per day plus tax. How they can charge this is beyond me. It was only after walking around that we realised that there are loads of places to park that would definitely cost less than $45, but when you are riding in heavy traffic on roads you don't really think to look elsewhere for other options.

We got back at 2:50pm and were told by a very stern receptionist that the room still wasn't ready. It seemed as if we were asking for too much to get into the room 10 mins early.

There is no breakfast option with this hotel even though there is a 24hr Dennys within the hotel.

What they also don't tell you is if you pay by card, they will hold $100 on your card for any 'sundry' items. This was not mentioned when we booked in & when I checked my credit card account, I found the day after they had taken a further $80, even though the first $100 had not been touched. When I asked the receptionist about the amounts, she said that all hotels 'hold' money against the room in case of room service or similar. But this was the first hotel that did this and we'd stopped in a few by then. The money did eventually go back onto the card, but as we were using a pre-loaded card, it meant that we had to wait several days before the funds were available for us to spend.

All in all, an OK hotel in a good location for sightseeing. However, I feel that it is over-priced for what you get and if you are considering booking this hotel, I'd research other parking options before you get there.

A perfectly adequate hotel in an ideal location. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was quite small and dark but adequate and comfortable. Very clean bathroom. Parking was very expensive I had expected it to be included. We didn't eat in the hotel as breakfast wasn't included either. Perfectly situated for exploring Fishermans wharf.

We have just completed out holiday and spent the last few days at this hotel. We found the staff very friendly and the rooms very clean and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor and did find the traffic noise slightly annoying but nothing that would prevent me from staying there again. Very close to Fisherman's Wharf and plenty of transport options to see the rest of the city. The only complaint would be the cost of parking. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other people wanting a clean, friendly hotel near the wharf.
