Got a room on the 24th Floor. Huge 4 star hotel right downtown. It was amazing.

This hotel was very clean with a beautiful lobby and helpful staff. My complaints are three: was close to shopping but only a block away from a bad part of town littered with homeless and "special" massage parlors. The hotel did not have free wi-fi. The hotel also charges 45 dollars a night to park in their garage.

Thank you for your comments. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, but I believe you are confusing us with one of our sister properties. All of our guests here at the Hilton San Francisco Financial District enjoy complimentary high speed wireless internet and overnight self-parking is only $30. We would love to see you here next time you are in San Francisco.

After reading about the 40 dollar parking fees, I took the BART from the airport and then I walked from the Montgomery St. Station with a suitcase and it was very pleasant. No huge hills and the transitions from sidewalk to pavement were easy. Friendly staff. Easy check-in. Huge bathrooms. Business hook up for the big screen. I didn't try it but it looked to me like you could plug your computer in to the large LCD TV. My room overlooked much of Chinatown and it was interesting listening and observing for the brief time I was in the room. What to say? It's a Hilton and a good one.

I went to San Francisco with friends and stayed at Hilton in the Finacial District. I don't have one complaint about this hotel! The location was excellent, of course if you enjoy walking! We were at the Port of San Francisco in about 10 min and passed millions of coffee shops on the way to get us going for the day. With so much to see in San Fran, you are exhausted at the end of the day, and I couldn't have slept better in those beds! So comfy with down comforters and lots of pillows! The rooms were not that big, and super clean, but all you need is a good bed at the end of the day since you are out exploring the great city!

No complaints at all with this hotel. Great views, comfortable surroundings, and good service. The hotel is close to China Town and other fun attractions. The BART is about 6 blocks away and you can easily grab a cab at the hotel. The beds were soo comfortable, liked the flat screen tv, and the ipod hook up. Bring your own water, because the Evian is $5 a bottle! :)

Noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Even on the 12th floor, we could hear voices from the street like some sort of party happening. Sirens, honking cars, screaming people. This went on till way past midnight. Same thing on my last visit, but wrote it off to the exception, but apparently the noise is the rule. Windows are just too thin.

Jam ups at elevator were contstant. Only 3 were actually in service, so it was often a long wait.

Thank you for your feedback. Our deepest apologies you didn’t enjoy your stay. While we can’t control the outside noise level, we worked around the clock and the elevator is back in service. Should you return to San Francisco, I hope you will consider giving us a second chance.

My wife and I attended a conference at the Hilton. Generally the experience was good with a few exceptions.

The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. The location of the hotel is outstanding in the financial district on the edge of Chinatown. The food service at out conference was very good (for a hotel).

Our main complaint and the reason we might reconsider staying here again was the elevators (or lack thereof). The hotel has 4 elevators with only 3 in service, it was not unusual for members of our conference to have to wait upwards of 10 minutes for an elevator. This was a constant source of frustration during our stay.

The other issue with the hotel we experienced was an unusual amount of noise from other rooms and the street at night. We were on the 20th floor and it was not unusual to hear street noise.

Everything else about the stay was good. These two issues would likely lead us to choose other lodging the next time we are in San Francisco.
