Arriving upon Hotel Bijou, you can definitely feel a change of the neighborhood. It's in Tenderloin, next to Eddy Street, one of the notoriously poor districts of SF. Though it's not THAT bad, you still didn't feel very safe going out at night, because there were people sleeping in front of the hotel. But, even though we stayed in a room on the second floor facing the street, we had a good night sleep. We live in Downtown LA, so maybe the noise didn't bother us from habit, but it was definitely not bad so don't let that upset you. Other than the district, the rooms were very clean and the receptionist Brittany was great help. Upgraded us to a better room etc.
Overall, would stay for like 2-3 nights, but for a longer stay it may not be very chill. More
