I believe that Nikko is overall a pretty standard hotel, with reasonable check-in staff, moderately-sized rooms, nothing noteworthy.
The location however, was very good, within walking distance to some pretty good restaurants.
Though, I gave this review an awful rating due to the awful & horrible service from the breakfast buffet staff. They were HORRIBLE, specifically one person who I did not note the name, but did note his attitude. Whenever we would simply ask for some food to be restocked, they would scoff at us. I mean, how is that not within my rights? They seemed like we were asking them to do some HUGE favour, instead of a pretty standard request which should have been fulfilled without even asking. This would happen every time we came, and pretty much just ruined our whole experience. For a Japanese hotel, which should offer Japanese service (that is, excellent service), this is disappointing.More
