Excellent position! Within walking distance to fisherman's wharf, ghiradelli square! A longer walk to china town but everywhere is close!

Nice comfortable rooms! Free wifi! Parking on expensive side! But it's like that everywhere in San Francisco!
All in all a nice, comfortable hotel

The rooms are small but very clean! Only 2 blocks to the wharf and around the corner to a cable car. Valet the car and did not see it for 4 days. Valet is $$ but you are in a large city. All the staff was very friendly and even got a thank-you note from the maid for the tip I left. Our room was on the side of the building and very qutie and very bright. Was quite at night. At at the rest. attached to the hotel the first night. With the weather changes in San Fran @ the wharf great location to be able to go back to hotel. Very happy we stayed @ the wharf at this hotel.

Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly. We traveled with Two adults a teenager and three dogs. The rooms were small. The location was great near little Italy. The parking is expensive like any other place in San Fransisco but the price of the hotel was good.

Visited the Tuscan Inn in early July 2010, Great hotel, just a few minutes out the front door and you are on Fishermans Wharf. Area felt very safe and we were never hesitant when out walking in the evening, saying that we found that to be the case in San Francisco in general.
Staff at the hotel were helpful and the concierge found out which bus routes to take when exploring and did a map for us of places we wanted to visit.
Bus stops were right outside the hotel and for a few dollars the bus took us straight through chinatown to Union Square.
The rooms were clean and had flat screen tvs, , basic enough but just what you need on a city holiday. Breakfast is served in the restaurant adjoining the hotel, it was great, staff were so friendly, remembered us everyday. The eggs Benedict is not to be missed!
If you get a chance, visit on 4th July, the fireworks were spectacular and on pier 39 there were live bands playing all day and night.

My wife and I were there for 5 nights and had a very good experience. Great location; just a 5 minute walk to the Wharf and convenient to the cable car. Also an easy walk to Lombard St and North Beach. This is a small-ish "boutique" hotel, so there is no pool, health club, banquet rooms, etc. But the lobby is inviting with sofas and a fireplace. There's complimentary coffee & biscotti in the morning and wine & pizza appetizers from 5 tp 6 pm. There's a concierge table but anyone at the front desk will help you with information and dinner reservations. Nice mix of guests; couples and families from all over the world. There is no coffee shop on site but the attached Italian restaurant is open all day. (Although you're better off walking a block to the left down North Point where you can get a quick breakfast for a fraction of the price and no line up!) There's grocery and drug stores nearby if you need supplies. Our room (king bed) was not huge but certainly a decent size. The bathroom was surprisngly large (I think it was designed for wheelchair access). The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows (soft, not those hard foam blocks). Based on other revues we requested a courtyard-view room which was blessedly quiet. Maid service was good although we had to ask for more shampoo a couple of times before it was delivered. It's a tourist city so the lobby and elevators can get busy in the morning as everyone heads out. Dogs are welcome (they keep a dish of dog treats on display). Basically, the Tuscan met our requirements for a city hotel: Reasonable price, great location, with a clean, comfortable and quiet room.
