“Great Location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

Stayed here for my honeymoon. Great location, walking distance from everything on the Wharf. The staff was so friendly and very professional, had a great experience with the front desk, concierge and the bell staff. Would recommend to anyone. Small, but charming room, wouldn't fit more than one couple.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would stay here again. The concierge and staff were very knowledgeable about the San Francisco area. The wine tasting hour with other guests was a very nice touch and a very nice way to meet people from all over the world.

The Best Western Tuscan is located walking distance from Fishermans Warf and Pier 39. The rooms have been recently remodeled, and the bedding is quite comfortable. I was responsible for planning a group meeting and worked with Debbie Jimenez, the conference service manager. Debbie is dedicated to the best experience possible. From the initial budget planning, to the menus and schedule, she is attentive to every detail. The food service from Pascatore's worked well, and Chef Raffa's Biscotti is worth the trip alone! I would highly recommend this property for business or pleasure.

On arrival we were upgraded to a King Suite. Staff was very friendly and professional. We had a late arrival and they acted as if they had been waiting just for us, it made you feel very special. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Undoubtably the best location near fishermans warf. The service, clean rooms, and added wine reception only a part of the excellant service we received.
The location was perfect because all the points of interest are close. You owe it to yourself to stay here

Great staff; David and Wendy were extremely helpful; we appreciated their suggestions. This Best Western room was small but very comfortable and let's face it....you don't go to stay in your room but you do like for it to be clean and comfortable and it was both. AND the location worked very well for us. It was just a couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf; easy access to the cable cars (and you must experience that experience); the hop on hop off bus was close by; Pier 39 was just a few blocks from this Best Western. We were also able to walk to Ghiradelli Chocolate Establishment. Be sure to layer your clothes so you can stay warm and then the fog usually burns off and it gets warmer. The Pescatore Restaurant was very convenient to pop in for breakfast and a nightcap. The Tuscan Inn does not have their own shuttle but you can make arrangements for transportation to the airport for $55 plus tip....it's not a limo but is a really nice car. Be sure to go see Beach Blanket Babylon if you like comedy and like to laugh. It's one and half hour of slap stick comedy about whoever is in the news. The theater is located on Green Street. Have a good time!

The location of this hotel was great and they do have a happy hour where they give away free wine but I needed it to ignore how dirty the rooms were. There were fingerprints on all of the chrome the walls and corners were dirty. The ironing board was too dirty to use and broke when we tried to set it up, the maid left it out in our room for three days. The inside of the closet was especially dirty. We never would have stayed here but we booked using air miles so it was essentially free. The parking cost $50/night and it was a big hassle to get the car out if we needed it for the day. We asked about a fitness center and they told us we could buy a week pass to the gym (staying for 3 days) and there wasn't a pool either. The price is not worth it, there are other hotels at Fisherman's Wharf that cost $50. $60, $70 or $80 dollars less, I'd stay there instead.

Hi Chantal B - Oh my, what can I say? Certainly very surprising and embarrassing as this isn't the typical experience most of our guests enjoy. I do apologize for all of the issues mentioned and we'll definitely have discussions at the hotel regarding your comments and observations. Thanks for your feedback and we wish you happy and safe travels!
