Owner description: Mile-long Baker Beach lies at the foot of rugged serpentine cliffs west of the Golden Gate. Large waves, undertow and rip currents make the beach unsafe for swimming, but it provides panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands and Lands End. You can fish or check out the shorelife along the beach and rocky shoreline. Restrooms and picnic tables are nearby.

This charming little beach is a hidden gem for most though truly worth a visit. Much of the beach sits against tall cliffs which give it a feeling of privacy and seclusion. The shoreline stretches all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, so a shoreline walk offers truly incredible views. As you walk towards the bridge, the beach vibe changes and clothing becomes optional.

On a clear day, great views of Golden Gate and very pleasant to walk around, picninc or, if you dare, go for a dip!

Well, we didn't see any nude men as mentioned in earlier reviews, but they may have been hiding. LOL. We really needed a break from the hectic Pier 39 and this was just the spot to take one. The parking was ample. There are porta potties. There were a few dogs playing on the beach. The sunset was incredible. We played in the sand and enjoyed the sounds of the waves. Highly recommend. Much better than the Japanese Tea Garden and this was FREE! ;)

This beach offered great views of the Golden Gate Bridge! The parking was great and I really like the picnic area that offered restrooms. However, I was surprised to see that the north end of the beach was occupied by a handful of nude men. Just a warning for families with children to stick to the south end of the beach!

We were happy to find the beach view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Nice waves and beach area. But at the end of the beach, down near the rocks close to the Golden Gate bridge, there were several nude men. Quite a surprise to go from family friendly to nudity in a few small steps.
