We spent almost a week at the InterContinental on Howard St in San Francisco. We had a great room on the the 30th floor. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant Luce was a disappointment, but the concierge staff was readily willing to make restaurant recommendations and reservations. Uhfortunately, their recommendations were hit and miss - they recommended the worst restaurant we ate at in San Francisco, Fang, and one of the best, Hog Island Oyster Co. Do not go there expecting to do laundry, there is no guest laundry, a major flaw for the room price. Also, the only refrigerator is a small space in the minibar fridge - another major flaw for the price. I would stay there again, but I would bargain for a better room rate.

The hotel has a beautiful spa with great treatments. Really enjoyed a late afternoon away from the Moscone Center. Good sauna, nice shower and great massage! The complimentary glass of wine was unexpected and much appreciated. Overall I recommend this to help get over jet lag!

Dont know where i stand on this this hotel was stunning but they really let me down here!

I am a platinum member with IHG (about ten times over!!) and due to some delays on a flight from LA turned up at this hotel very late approx 11pm.

I was travelling on business and as such was using my business credit card. However, due to dropping a hire car off in LA and picking one up in Sn Fran (not to mention others earlier this week) there was deposits on hold all over the place!!!

Due to time difference between San Fran and Belgium..where my company card is held was unable to get in touch with them.. The hotel was unprepared to let me pay on departure even though they had my card linked with priority club card meaning i was completely risk free!!!!!

Was prepared to pay on my own card...but instead got told by the reception to move away from the desk as they needed space at the desk for people who could pay...there was nobody waiting at 11am!!!

Not the way I wished to be spoke to after nearly 2 weeks in the USA, all of which were in IHG hotels, and over 70 nights in the last 12 months in their hotels worldwide!!!!

While not cheap by a long shot, the Cubano sandwich was AMAZING?
The pork was tender, juicy, and sweet. The pickled onions were a brilliant add.
If you like pork, this sandwich is a must.
So good I may have to double up and go two days in a row! :-)

Great hotel very good staff and very friendly. walking distance from the conference center. The breakfast menu was disappointing and could offer more variety. But if the company's paying its awesome.

The hotels a 5 star and lives up to it. In room dining was ok and is avoidable. If you are in SFO eat out. Close to cosco and in downtown.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms have great view.

This is my second time visit to the hotel, however, we encountered an unexpected situation we didn't get the room on the club floor as we planed and booked more than 7 months ahead. Make the long story short, the manager Jasmin Glueck learned my situation, although there was nothing can be done on room issue, I could feel that she took my disappointment seriously and valued my opinions, at the end she was able to took some measurements to make me happy and satisfied. I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone as they know how to treat their guests.

I just stayed at the Intercontinental for an event at the Moscone Center. If you are doing the same, both the Intercontinental and the W are right next to Moscone, and after staying at both I prefer the Intercontinental. The staff is very friendly and efficient upon check-in and check-out. The spacious room (mine was on the 32nd floor) was very comfortable with a good bed and desk area, excellent HVAC with easy to use controls, spacious and well-appointed bathroom. My only small issue that prevents me from an excellent rating is that the area it is in is fairly uninteresting unless you have an event at the Moscone. Don't misunderstand, this is a very nice hotel, but I just think that there are others that are closer to where the action is even though this one is still pretty close.
