“A unique, fun and fascinating tour!”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Although I used to live in SF, I wanted a tour that would be fun and educational. Our guide Jay was passionate about the city, its history and architecture. He was articulate, polite and shared so many fun facts about the homes, the owners (past and present) and the city itself. We were a manageable group of 10 people and the walking tour managed to avoid any very steep hills. Toward the end of the tour Jay also provided a variety of restaurant recommendations; we ate lunch at one of those which was the best meal we had during our stay in San Francisco. Truly an outstanding tour!

“Great way to see a lovely part of San Francisco”
Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

A lovely walk through a lovely part of San Fran and ending up on Union St where there were lots of nice places to eat made to perfect. The guide was very informative and friendly. It was a small group which was nice. Don't bother with the overpriced bus tours and do this walk instead!

“Good tour - recommended”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

Good tour with Jay who really knew what he was talking about. The walk was easy and not in the least bit difficult. That helps to make things just that little bit more enjoyable. Would recommend as something a little different and interesting to do.

“Stupendous way to appreciate SF Victorian Homes”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I learned about this opportunity from the hotel I was booked into. Showed up expecting something useful but not spectacular and had the best two hours of an 8 day visit. Jay, the guide, was knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and thoroughly delightful. Anyone who opts for a bus tour is losing out; you really need to see these magnificent homes in their historical and cultural setting. Jay was masterful.

“A level below the normal tourist runs but excels in quality”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

This was great, we saw a different part of San Francisco and learnt lots about its history and how the locals live. You see great architecture, great neighbourhoods and end in a great area to explore for lunch and shopping. Some of the views of the bay are exceptional. Jay was a delight , the walk was easy and I recommend this to anyone who wants something a little different and get to know San Francisco a little more, this is the only way to see the painted lady's rather than a mass tourist bus
