My family and I do an overnight in San Francisco around Christmas. We typically stay at the Palace or the St. Francis, but we thought we would give the Park Central a try, and that was a mistake. I have stayed here before for work, but not for fun. I am a SPG Platinum member. When we arrived at 6pm the room was not ready, and the room we got was not that great. Upon check-in I asked for a room away from the elevator that was quiet. Which I was promised. The room was a bit down the hall, but not by much. At about 2:30am the party started next door and it concluded with music playing at 5am. Needless to say it was not a restful sleep. The hotel did address this when I finally called asking them to speak to the people in the room next to us.
When we were checking out, I had my daughter get the luggage from the bell desk which we had stored. They brought the four bags out, but didn't offer to help take them to the car.
Overall this was not a great experience and disappointing relative to the other SPG hotels I have stayed in, in San Francisco.More
