I really can't fault this hotel: I stayed here for a conference & meetings in San Francisco and around, and really enjoyed having such a nice place to sleep. The location was my main motivator, as it's right around the corner from the Moscone Center, while also making Union Square, Chinatown and the bayside running paths accessible (they even provide a nice running map for short runs). Everything works as expected: it's clean, service is fast (and the shoe polishing quality is excellent), valets take good care of your car and there's complimentary water. Views are amazing. Only small niggles were staying in a room next to the elevators, which sounded like trams passing in the distance (once you realized what the sound was and got used to it, it really didn't matter), and a certain "soullessness" of a massive hotel complex. Why not 5 stars? Considering the quite high price I'd rather look for a boutique experience, but this was very good.
