During a recent trip to SF, my wife and I booked the bridge to bridge cruise on te red and White Fleet and it was an outstanding excursion. The crusie left directly from Fisherman's Wharf and we chose an early morning cruise so there was plenty of room on the ship to walk around, see the sights and take plenty of pictures. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so it is enjoyable no matter the weather. Make sure to look on-line for discounts and/or coupons...we found one for 20% of our tickets. They had a great schedule fo cruises so finding a time to fit into a busy day was very easy. Next time we will try the Alcatraz Cruise.

Thanks to the US government shutdown they only way to get close to Alcatraz was by taking a bay trip. The Red and White Fleet offered a great trip going from bridge to bridge. No need to book, but as it was busy due to the shutdown we did book our trip. Headsets are provided for a running commentary in various languages, however the acoustics were not that good and I used my own ear phones, however after a while I decided it wasn't worth listening and just enjoyed the ride in glorious sunshine instead, it was in fact warmer and less windy on the water than on the waterfront so it made for a really pleasurable 90 minutes. Highly recommended, the only thing to make it complete would have been landing on Alcatraz for the tour of the prison.

We took the "red line" cruise under the Golden Gate and around Alcatraz. You are supplied head phones which offer narration in several languages. These things can be cheesy and maybe this was a little, but we really enjoyed it. You can get food and drinks on board and it wasn't real crowded when we were there so we could move around for different views.

We took this tour with no notice and walked up to the ticket window and bought our tickets for the next tour in 15 minutes. They asked if we were Military and we received an additional $4.00 discount. The 1.5 hour Bridge to Bridge Tour was "Awesome". The headsets that they give you when you get on make all the difference in the world in hearing the descriptions of all the sights. The water was almost completely calm and the sea breeze was wonderful. I highly recommend the Red & White Fleet for your next tour of San Francisco Bay.

We opted for the 1 hour SF Bay Tour which headed out under and past the Golden Gate Bridge and made a loop around Alcatraz. Each person receives a headset and audio set available in about 8 or 10 languages. I was able to hear all the information presented about the sights as we passed without the noise from the boat or other people talking. There was plenty of room to sit around the sides of the boat as well as in the front and rear.

This was one of the best harbor tours I have experienced in the last few years.
