Very expensive, upold fashioned, no plasma tv, and BIG humidity smell. Poor lights you cant even read normally. Cold room and very bad isolation to temperature and noise. Well located but its not worthy. Bad option.

Stayed here for three nights in April. We chose this hotel for its location and reasonable prices for an expensive city. It is on Broadway Chinatown and is central for most tourist attractions. - 20 min walk to Fishermans Warf, 30 min walk to Union Square, and also nearby to the Hyde - Powell trolley, 10 mins.
First impressions were poor, the outside looks worn out and run down, and the reception is dark and dingy. However our room (404) was surprisingly ok. It was small, but spotlessly clean. Bathroom was also clean and bed linens and towells changed daily. No shortage of hot water, and there was tea and coffee making facilities. The windows need attention as we opened one and it came right out with the frame!
Hotel has a very small car park and the parking is free but if it is full you can use the public car park next door free of charge.
The view from the room was of an alley, probably the worst view we have ever had lol, but this room served its purpose as a place to shower and sleep comfortably after enjoying the sights of San Francisco

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking Broadway

Picked this because it was one of only eight hotels in San Fransisco listed with parking. We had driven down from Las Vegas via Los Angeles to pick up a cruise ship in SanFran.

The hotel is just on the border of the Chinese/Italian sector in Downtown San Fransisco, and primarily Chinese run.

On our side of the street ( and for several blocks) all was chinese restaurants, food shops, markets etc. On the other side of the street were Italian restaurants by the dozen. Great for eating out. It is also only 20 mins walk from Union Square in one direction, and Pier 39 in the other.

Check in was quick and easy, and like most motel operations, paid in advance. Our room was on the ground floor, and quite large, with an enormous bathroom. Reasonably well equipped with fridge, tea/coffee, and flat screen TV.

Unfortunatley we seem to have a room which backed on the a chinese laundry, which started work at 4.00am each morning. so sleeping past that was sometimes difficult, with people coming and going.

Overall; It was Ok for a couple of nights but a bit basic.

If you have been to San Francisco before you will know accommodation is not cheap. Royal Pacific is a great option for budget conscious travelers that don't need all of the finer things. These rooms are basic but clean. The room we stayed in opened up onto the street so there was a bit of noise but nothing that bothered us at all. You are at the top end of China town and a 10 minute walk (downhill) to Pier 39. We would have no problem staying here again.

Family owned and they run it like they care. Rooms are basic but this is one of the cleanest motels I've ever been in... absolutely spotless. If you book a balcony room, beware that you share the balcony with the room next door. Also beware that this is Broadway at Stockton with Chinatown noise abundant; it didn't bother me with my earplugs and I'm used to city sounds, but beware if you are a light sleeper or country folk. Reasonable rates and FREE parking in this area is a real value. Two blocks up Columbus and you're in the heart of North Beach.

Basic hotel that could use a good cleaning and updating, but cheaper rates then the chain hotels. Nicely located in Chinatown beside the adult entertainment clubs and crazy Chinese singing karaoke or something late at night. Plus side was free parking in a cramped lot.

Stayed during a major convention in Moscone as all the Convention site hotels sold out. Very convinient access via Public Bus (15 min.) to Westfield Shopping Area and walt to Moscone (and 3 blocks Walk). The people at the front desk is very friendly. The room was very clean, always had hot water, and the heating worked well. If you are light sleeper, ask for rooms in the back side. I was right up front, very noisy street but would not mind. I was there to sleep and I was very tied never bothered by the noise. Great for couples on budget to visit the City. If you have a car, you can park there I believe free. The rate was also very cheap as compare to what I usually pay in one of those Convention hotels (at least 1/3rd if not more).

Night time after 8 pm, streets are dark and not many people around. You can easily reach to "little Italy" while you are at the China Town. Fresh fruit is sold on the streets very low price and fresh. The surrounding restaurants did not look too appealing to have food. But everyone has their perpsective. If you are into Chineese Food, it maybe right place to eat.

Overall, I strongly recommend for business man on budget or great for couples on budget to visit the City and do not plan on spending time in your hotel room and like to sightseeing. I certainly like to come back to this place again. You feel like you are part of the City and the People of the City. I really enjoyed it.

Room Tip: If you are interested in the hectic city ambiance, choose the front rooms (I personally enjoyed). Bu...
