Three of us shared dinner at Nopa early on Wednesday evening. The restaurant rapidly filled within 15 minutes of my arrival. The couple joining me were delayed by traffic so I had time to enjoy a cocktail before they arrived. The hostess and wait staff graciously adjusted to the late arrivals and we shared an incredible meal prefaced by cocktails; warm marinated olives; goat cheese, pickled beets, and crostini; young Kale, toasted Hazelnuts, tangelo ,and pecorino; wood roasted black cod, green lentils, bacon, brussels sprouts and spiced chickpeas; and steak frite. We had a wonderful, unhurried meal. Everyone around us was having a great time. We finished the evening with ice cream at a neighborhood market several doors away.
