i was very excited about this new place but was disappointed quite fast as well. It appears clean and nice but when you dig deeper it's pretending to be something its not.
for civic center lunch items, prices are too high. Halloumi appetizer with three pieces of cheese for $8 is definitely a little much when an entire block of Halloumi at any middle eastern market costs $4 !
- servers (except for the red head) dont pay attention to customers. Some dont even speak english - really.
- Dinner is better than lunch - menu option wise
- the halloumi salad says it has chickpeas in it but it doesn't. It has strawberries. quite a surprise. chickpea.. strawberry.. almost same thing right?! lol oh and the cheese on the salad is from yesterday.. probably they think americans wont know the difference.
- nothing special for lunch items: kebbe, falafel sandwiches.. hummus but at higher rates than other places with those items
- music; its great, but if you are going to go with a middle eastern themed restaurant, sticking to that ambiance and music from that part of the world might be worth it
