We had one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. We had the taster menu for $62 and were blown away by the unusualness and freshness of most of the dishes. The restaurant itself is beautifully and simple decorated (real Nordic feel) and has a lovely warm ambience (we were on holiday from London and this was our "treat" dinner, I avoided booking some of the better known but posher joints).
The chef is Hungarian and with many of the dishes comes amazing bread. We had salmon roe on rye and pistacio dip with crackers and coriander (cilantro), the most sensational smoky potatoes with a creamy garlic dip. We slipped quietly into a food coma by the end of that tasting session.
We had a very warm and friendly waitress and unlike some of the other reviews, we had a great experience. Our server was very knowledegable and attentive and seemed genuinely passionate about the food and working there.
