Typical place for simple things....
Cold beer, IPA’s, and we ordered the bacon and crab dip. Again, nothing fantastic here.

Superb location, however half the tables are in an outside awning thing and the rest outside. No matter. The place is right Next to the water. Looks a bit scruffy it has to be said but the service is jolly. The food is outstanding. I had a special, shrimps and grits. Not sure what the grits is, but the flavours were sublime, probably the most flavoursome food I’ve had in 16 days of California eating. Should you go? 100% yes.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and had a delightful summer salad with cantaloupe and a tasty chili dressing along with a more traditional dressing. So good I asked for bread to clean the plate

We stopped here for a late lunch after Alcatraz. It looks like nothing from the outside but once inside it’s much larger with a nice outdoor seating area. The clam chowder was very good. Portions were also decent. It’s a good choice for a meal along the pier and reasonably priced

The restaurant looks very small from the street. But inside the atmosphere makes up for any crowding! The night we visited, a jazz band was playing with "guest" singers. It felt like being part of the neighborhood. We were fortunate to get a table outside overlooking the water. The food was wonderful and the service great. It was a high point of our trip to San Fran.
