“Filling and flavorful in the SOMA area”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

Don;t let the fact that its been featured on "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives" put you off. This popular SOMA area eatery is very busy during lunch with ample portions of no nonsense American and Italian favorites. I've had everything from the hamburger, to grilled polenta, to fish. All delicious. Arrive early so as not to have to wait during lunch. The actual dining room is small and intimate.

“Great Place for Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

We went here on our last morning in San Fran for breakfast. It was very good. There were not too many folks in the restaurant but I may have been a little early. Both of our meals were great, I had the crab cakes Benedict an my wife had an omelette with prawns, mushrooms, tomatoes and provolone. Both dishes were huge we definitely could have split. The service was very good. We would certainly go back!

The umami hits you in the nostrils the moment you walk in the door!
Upon the advice of fellow poster Visited_There, we ordered the Angelhair w/basil & tomato and Linguine w/clams.
Transcendent Beauteousness on the palate. If i could've licked the plate without looking like a barbarian i would've!
Holy Yumm!!!!!

Great food, very friendly staff, place was packed at 8 pm with people. The restaurant is very small, so you are sitting extremely close to neighboring tables, but the food made it very worthwhile. The pumpkin ravioli is incredible!
