Excellent location, good menu, reasonable prices (no rip off), good personal service. Despite being buy there was hassle to gt you fed and out of it. We were told not to rush. Nice as that area of Fisherman's wharf gets very busy.

A true diner (Cash only by the way) on the cliffs above Ocean Beach. The result, good down home food (we had chicken fingers and a grilled cheese to give you a sense of the 'cuisine') with maybe the most amazing view at a restaurant that I have seen. They seem to close a bit early for dinner btw (they were closing/closed at 7PM when we went by after continuing our hike). Service was outstanding as well!

I hate to help advertise this classic diner because I'd like to keep it a jealously guarded secret! I actually don't understand why there is not a line out the door for breakfast; apparently that does happen for lunch. I've been here 3-4 times over several years on San Francisco visits, usually still basking in the glow from a swim in the Aquatic Park down near Ghiradelli square. The egg whites only omelet loaded with veges, toast, potatoes, etc. and a tasty coffee are great. Service is very good and always friendly and personable. Sitting at a window booth, you have up close views of the seals on seal rock, the ruins of the old Sutro baths, and the paths running into the woods - part of the Park Service area. This 75 year old diner is more fun, less crowded, and definitely much better value than the overhyped Cliff House which is just a few paces further down the hill. I recommend Louis'!

For food in San Francisco this place is a disappointment, but the view unmatched. Be prepared for a long line on weekends, and don't expect much out of the food. But enjoy the view.

Experienced a late night dinner with the family. Great diner-style food with a super friendly staff. Lots of history and you can't beat the views!
