Ate here yesterday lunch time. Really friendly waitress and the food was really great. My Bloody Mary was really spicy!
A bit on the pricey side but so what!

In short, our experience at Harvey’s was woeful but I wanted it to be brilliant given the cultural context. Harvey’s is like a corner pub but with appalling service and food to match. We witnessed the food from neighbouring tables being sent back to the kitchen as unsatisfactory or missing ordered items. Our beers sat on the counter going flat for a considerable time. Harvey’s either need more staff on tables or change the sequence of service so patrons order drinks and meals directly across the bar. Pass, find something better.

The food was excellent, service was slow but friendly staff. We would not have minded having all those extra drinks while waiting if it was not so expensive.

Popped in here on our final day in San Francisco. Situated on the main corner crossroads within the Castro it’s a great place to see the world walk by. Friendly staff, clean toilets, free soda refills and tasty food. We had the cheese burger sliders and deep fried buttermilk chicken. Nice artwork / photographs. All reasonably priced. Pics attached

My daughter and I were in San Fran June ‘19 and wanted to explore the Castro. We had read reviews about Harvey’s and decided to give it a try.

We were not disappointed. My daughter got the steak and it was phenomenal. I got the fish and chips, also very good. We enjoyed a table by the picture windows at the front which was an awesome way to take in the Castro early-afternoon. The wait staff was super-friendly giving personal recommendations to my daughter. It was a great, low-key relaxed atmosphere, much appreciated after a day of sight-seeing. We’d return without hesitations.
