When we travel, we love to visit some of the "off-the-beaten-path" locations so that we can get a real feel for a city as opposed to the "touristy image." Reviews touted this restaurant as being a local favorite with great food . . . and that was an accurate description! We had a terrific meal--freshly prepared. The homemade salad dressing was outstanding and my husband loved his soup. The desserts were equally delicious--and those were priced far more reasonably than most other restaurants. I don't think you can go wrong at Clement Street Bar and Grill! If we have time this week, we are tempted to return. But of course, San Francisco means LOTS of great dining opportunities, so I am not sure we want to commit during our final few days here.

This is an institution for good reason. The food is always consistant, the service attentive rather than obtrusive and then there are Paula and Baseball Mary to make you feel extra welcome.

CSB&G is the perfect place to take your out of town guests, with seafood, burgers, pasta and vegitarian meat loaf truely something for everyone. The house made desserts, particularly the seasonal fruit crisps are worth saving room for.

This 40's era jazz/sports bar is a neighborhood treasure. The clientele, staff and decor are unique. The food is scrumptious but not pretencious. Good place to go where, if you go more than once or twice, "everybody knows your name". FUN!

This place is very old looking in side I think that helps make it. The food is great but ther SERVICE! is what makes it! If you are traveling to San Fran you want to come here at the start of your trip. You Have to ask to sit in Baseball Mary section. She will give you all the tricks of town where to go who to see. Its Very helpful. The local Brew was good and the daily local special I had was amazing. Give it a try! PS Ask for a Baseball card :)

Food good but prices too high for this location. Place is old and in sore néed of a update. Not upscale area. Lacked ambience-mor like a older locals place, but again prices are high.
