Very friendly atmosphere in this restaurant. The philly cheesesteak with onionrings came just in a while after I ordered! All of this spending less than 20 bucks!!!!

“A little bit of Portugal in San Francisco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Great food well cooked and presented at competitive prices, all served with style. We were a large party (over 30) but the service was still fast and fun.

“Tucked away treat.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Found by accident , first thoughts were looks a bit tired, but once inside, don't judge a book by its cover! restaurant full, staff set up a table for six no problem. Great food big portions value for money, try the loaded potato skins.Would recommend. A typical San Francisco welcome.

“A little gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

Hidden away in Vine Street it looks a little odd from the outside and rather "shabby", but don't be put off it is a charming restaurant inside - adapted from a 1927 cable car. There is always a good list of specials on the whiteboard, often with a Portuguese twist, alongside more traditional US dishes. They don't have a liquor licence, but sell bottled beer and good house wine (Portuguese) at $20 per bottle. Prices are very reasonable indeed - typically $10 - $14 for the main and quality is surprisingly good. Give it a try if you're in the area!

“Good Burgers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

Great hidden hole in the wall place! The burgers were great. The philly cheesesteaks also looked good. We didnt try one, but it looked awesome! The pork chops were good, but the sides it came with were barely seasoned. Great history to the place also. I would definitely go back.
