Located on Union Street, this is a small, local Italian restaurant with good food. However, our experience was not great because the service was not very friendly, nor attentive. We arrived for an early dinner so the restaurant was not yet crowded, but the service (or lack of) was very mediocre.

While not a bad choice...I am not sure if I would return.

We just wanted a takeaway pizza, and found Pane e Vino had good reviews so popped aling to see if they'd make us one. The chap at the entrance said they would and that we could wait at the bar. I'm not a fan of Italian food and it's my partner's favourite, but both of us could have happily stayed for a full sit down meal. It's a lovely bustly restaurant, quite cosily seated but with quite a lot of covers and makes you feel like you're in an Italian town.
We had a Peroni each at the bar while waiting for our pizzas, which only took 15mins. They were fresh and cooked to order in a true Italian pizza oven and when we got them back to our hotel, they were delicious. Authentic thin crispy base, with a thick tomato sauce and fresh toppings. We also took a slice of cheesecake to share and they decorated with strawberries, mint and coulis exactly as if we were dining inside. We were also given individually wrapped plastic cutlery to eat with. The only downside is that we didn't find this restaurant before as we would definitely have eaten in. Brilliant!

Authentic Italian hospitality, food and wine. What a fantastic little restaurant. We were welcomed to a table and glad we arrived when we did as the tables quickly filled. The waiter was bright, cheerful and welcoming. Fresh Italian bread with olive oil was delivered to the table. The bread was warm, crisp and plentiful and cooked in the clay oven. It immediately brought back happy memories of our trip to Italy last year. Fantastic! The menu is authentic Italian with lots of choice. And the wine list is also good. We went for the half carafe of Pinot Grigio and it was delightful. Meanwhile the restaurant was buzzing with people enjoying a meal, a wine and good conversation. Grazie to all staff. We will go back...tomorrow night!

We snagged a reservation on Open Table at the last minute early Friday night. We were seated immediately. The tables are a bit crowded but the atmosphere is lively and authentic. The service was prompt and the pasta was delicious. We ordered a side of spinach which was enough for 3. We shared the tiramisu which was outstanding. It is a great neighborhood restaurant and I would happily return!

Nice menu of standard Italian dishes, including rabbit. They also have pizza.
The food was well prepared and service was very professional.
We have eaten here many times and will come back again.
