“Once you find it....”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

We were downtown on the Fourth of July, but didn't want to fight the crowds on their way to the wharf to view the fireworks. While frantically looking for somewhere open that offered a "bar like" atmosphere, we saw a leaflet on the ground advertising "Happy Hour all night on the Fourth." Thank goodness! We would have never found this pub (located at the top of EBC 2) without it. It was exactly what we were looking for. No tourists here - all locals who were interested in a reasonably priced meal, and maybe a few glasses of sangria (my choice). Portions were good, atmosphere and service was great, and the food was just what we were looking for. Burgers, wraps, nachos....sometimes you just want some comfort food! View was an added bonus. Worth the climb.

“Pleasant surprise.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Pub and sports bar located in a corner of EBC 2, promenade level.

Caters to the local neighborhood, the workforce around Embarcadero. That means a lively and crowded happy hour at the bar.

Menu is not adventurous but also not pretentious. Plates are generous, less than Flintstone sized, and more than portion controlled. The ingredients are fresh. The presentation is good.

Service is fast and professional and refills are offered without much prompting.

It is a nice break in this den of office towers. You could call it a truck stop diner for the cubicle jockeys.

“Relaxation”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

For a wine bar, there weren't as many choices as I would have liked. But, what I had was good. The view was nice. And, the shrimp louie salad that I had was also good. The server was accommodating and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. I wish I had found it sooner than my last day as I probably would have gone there more.

“Just had wine here, but great atmosphere and food/drink options”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

This is a great place to kill some time, alone or with friends or colleagues. It's on the main drag in the Ferry Building so lots of good people watching is available. Plenty of wine choices, along with breads, etc. to keep you happy. A fun spot for sure!
