Waitress cared deeply that I did not get sick from gluten cross contamination. They really need to update their menu to have more gluten free options, but, the fact that she spoke to the chef, and, I did not get sick, earned them the high marks.

My two daughters and I ate there, we ate on the lawn area at a cute table. We all three ordered the Mac and Cheese dish with chicken in it and truffle oil, it was very yummy. We also shared two arugula salads, they were too big for one person, although delicious with chunks of bleu cheese in them and a tangy dressing. We also ordered a side of the onion strings, very good. The athmosphere is great here weather you eat outside or inside. Music playing with a band outside, also a plus. It is also great that it is across the street from Ocean Beach.

Good selection of beers recommend the samplers, the Catcher was excellent! Didn't try the food. Great views.

So not only is the owner an alum of my school, SFSU, he is a great guy who runs a relaxed and efficient shop. His brews are great, the staff knows a lot about how the foods are prepared and everyone is super friendly. A great place to go any time of year. I like to go when the fog rolls in and have a spiked coffee at the lower level bar. The way in displays a great WPA mural about SF which in and of itself is worth going to see. One of my 'hidden treasure' places I take out of town guests.

Easy to get to, on site parking, nice view of the ocean while eating upstairs, friendly servers, decent food. Be sure to take time to enjoy the historic mural downstairs.
