San Francisco can be overwhelming, so you have to narrow things down when only having 2 1/2 days coming in from the east coast. A friend said I would not be disappointed with Linda Lee's tour, and he was correct. Linda is welcoming, gracious, knowledgeable and entertaining. You do not just walk through which is probably what the majority of tourists do. She takes you "behind the scenes" into a Temple, Ancestor Worship store, Fortune Cookie bakery, and much more. And, she makes the history fun and memorable. My son joined me, and we finished up with Linda for lunch - another nice experience. Tell her Ray, and his son David (who taught her about Photonics) sent you.

Our walking tour with Linda Lee in Chinatown was informative and fun. We'd recommend it to everyone and include the dim sum lunch option.

The four kids ages 9 - 14 got so much more out of is that we five adults could have imagined. The highlight of the kids entire San Francisco visit was the tea tasting (which tied in their opinion with The Lion King). They went home, drank tea and talked about ying and yang. Our jaws dropped. Our guide, Jim Adams, talked to the kids as equals. We all learned about the history in a way we had never heard before. The Fortune Cookie factory was a hit, of course, but they were also interested in the praying in the temples. The dim sum luncheon was partially dim sum and partially standard Chinese food, but it was all good. For those of us who were locals, we wished we had done this a long time ago.

It's not easy to impress four kids ages 9-14, but Jim Adams is an exceptional tour guide and your positive review supports his great tours. Thanks for the detailed descriptions of what your party found so memorable: the tea tasting, Chinatown's history, the temple, and everybody's favorite, the fortune cookie factory. The cookie factory and the tea shop are open daily, so please return at any time to enjoy this special neighborhood.

I took my middle school students on this tour and they absolutely loved it! We started out with a delicious lunch. Next, Linda Lee- who has a bubbly, fun personality showed us and told us all about the history of Chinatown. She is full of knowledge!

Wanted to get some exercise and education in an activity that would appeal to our 2 teenagers. The tour exceeded our expectations for attractions of interest. We lived in San Francisco a couple years (many years ago) yet this tour gave us a whole different appreciation for the history and community of the neighborhood. It was especially fascinating to visit the Chinese pharmacy and we all loved the fortune cookie maker. Sure you can visit most places on the tour without a guide but we learned so much and it wasn't information overload. We opted for the lunch at the lunch which was terrific. So many different dishes in a clean and comfortable setting.
