We went for Breakfast & Dinner because it was so good. Everyone was friendly and the food, for Pier 39 was very good too. The cafe is an old building that was placed on the Pier while under construction. Preserving history, amazing.

We ate here before getting the 08:30 ferry to Alcatraz and it is the best place to eat which is close by. You are spoilt for choice with the breakfast menu and there is plenty to eat when it comes. The milkshakes are so big that they can not get it all in the glass and leave the silver coloured milkshake cup with you to help yourself. The breakfast dishes come with large pieces of fruit adorning the plate which is a nice refresher after the inevitable maple syrup. Endless refills on coffee too.
If you are looking to set yourself up for the day then this is a great option.

although it was really busy, we were given a good table and served quickly and cordially. Food was good and plenty.

We'd had a great day on Alcatraz and decided to staying the area for some food. We spied the outside area of the Eagle Cafe and 9 of us headed to it !!! It's a mainly Seafood restaurant with a live oyster bar which fascinated the kids. The selection of food was good, the service quick and we all had 9 different meals from memory !! if you at Pier39 I'd happily recommend the Eagle Cafe.

Went as a pre paid package deal. ( not cheap either.) Choice of 2 starters & 5 mains. No dessert or coffee included in price. Waitress charming but main course produced whilst we were still eating starter & left on table to go cold. Then table clearing started as some were still eating. Food ok but not high dining. White cloths covered with torn off length of white paper.
Lacked ambience. Some view of bay past customers but few window seats. Door left open so drafts for some of us. Disappointed as had read good reviews & had hoped for a better experience.
