We had a great tour guide, Nina. It was nice learning about the history of the city as well as the district. We took the Mission Food Tour and went to places we would have normally not been to. We liked it so much, we already signed up for the North Beach Food Tour.

I took the Food Tour in the Mission District of SF. A tour of North Beach is also available. The tour guide, Casey, was very informative and entertaining. We started with a brief history of the Mission District, and each of the six restaurants was fully described, including awards won, provenance of the ownership, complete description of the items being provided. Casey even told us the story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves while we munched on falafels! We explored alleyways for the sanctioned graffiti, ventured into architecture, San Francisco history. We did it all, and it was more than worth the cost. I recommend this to all, although children younger than 12 would have a problem with the walking and probably with the food.

This tour exceeded my expectations. I was expecting to dabble in culinary tidbits of the Mission District. Instead I experienced an array of sweet and savory delights sprinkled with the remarkable storytelling of San Francisco's history by Casey. The food was delightful, but Casey's vivid storytelling and passion for the City made this a memorable experience.

Casey led our tour on Sunday, September 22nd at 11am. Even though my girlfriend and I live in the neighborhood, we learned new things and were nicely taken care of. Casey was sweet and managed the large group well. This was a fun thing to do, even though we had to plan it very far in advance. Thanks!

A little over 3 hours of strolling the streets with periodic munching on the sidewalk, a bench or grass in Dolores Park we tasted the many flavors of the Mission. Casey shared many tales about the history & changes in this area of San Francisco. Wonderful bakery goodies to start, falafel, tacos, modern chinese cuisine, pizza & cookies as we explored the main streets & the alleys with their colorful murals. A great way to get to know the streets of San Francisco then go back to enjoy the food of the Mission.
