If you stay in downtown area, Local Edition really is definitely worth a visit. It is in the basement of the Hearst Building that formerly housed a local newspaper (which is why the bar is called Local Edition). The bar has a nice bourbon drink (properly named local edition), and is apparently very popular among local people. I was there at 6pm on a Friday, and the atmosphere is just young, urban and nice. No loud music, but given the popularity and the basement, you have to raise your voice to be heard.
