We had the living social meal here and it was well worth the price.
The flight of wines was nice, we are not big wine drinkers so not too many details on the 3 glasses other than there was a blush, wine and red.
The sourdough bread was amazing of course, that was no surprise. Tomato & Basil Bruschetta, fresh and made you want more.
We had the ceasar salad which was so fresh and a nice portion size.
Entree's: Classic San Francisco Cioppino with dungeness crab, prawns, mussels, clams . It was very tasty.
NY steak with grilled asparagus and garlic. The steak had a great char on the outside and cooked medium as ordered. The roasted garlic was the only thing that was a miss, it was dried out and seemed old.
We have not been here before, so I am not sure if the portion sizes were the same as their regular menu. They did give us a specific menu that had TravelZoo at the top. With that said, the portions were on the small side, although the steak was fine a few more asparagus would have been nice or a few potatoes. The Cioppino was a medium size bowl with a decent amount of fresh tasting seafood, but no sides dish. The Bruschetta was great, but again, just 2 pieces.
Our wait staff was outstanding. They were very attentive without being over bearing. The night we were here, there was a convention in the hotel and it looked (by the flight wine glasses) that about half of the tables were the special menu and everyone appeared to be getting the same great service.
We skipped dessert.
