The Alioto family has been serving the freshest local seafood, authentic family recipes, the oldest/original Italian Seafood Restaurant on the Wharf, started by Nonna Rose back in 1925. The restaurant features a warm ambiance with a 3-tiered dining room offering every guest stunning views of San Francisco Bay. Don't forget to try our world-famous Nonna Rose's Cioppino and Dungeness crab, always fresh. A trip to Alioto's is more than food, it's a trip through history to the oldest family owned and run restaurant in San Francisco, boasting the best views and best seafood on the Wharf.

A nice warm welcome for myself and my Japanese friends. Sensible and not over-pricd recommendations from the wine list and an intelligent and helpful set of suggestions from the menu. The food was good and reasonably well presented. the fresh seafood speaks for itself and the chef resisted the urge to be too clever or fussy with it.
A bit expensive but a good experience.

We had an excellent meal at Alioto's. We made a reservation the day before, and requested a table with a view. Great service, great crab.

This was my first time it not my last. I hate to say this but the food on the warf is usually over priced and not all that good. This was great food.! Perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and more than enough. Still over priced, but that's expected in a tourist area. I'm sure the tent is high.

The first evening of our visit we were walking down at Fisherman's wharf and we were looking for somewhere special for dinner. This is an area of a hundred tourist restaurants, but we got lucky. We didn't know this at first, but this restaurant has a third floor with the best views of the harbour and the Golden Gate bridge. So, as dinner is being served, the sun is starting to set. Wow !! What a view. The food was great and Pavel, our waiter was wonderful.

We had fried calamari and crab cake sliders which were very good and some New England clam chowder which was not good- pretty tasteless. We sat outside and got a great view of the crowd on the wharf.
