Tai Chi has been my favorite place for Chinese since we found it on accident about 17 years ago. It's on Polk and Broadway and you would barely notice it.

If you want THE best General's chicken or house war wonton soup you will find none better in the City. The decor could use an overhaul and the staff may be slightly "pushy" at times, it doesn't take away from the amazing food.

We have eaten at Tai Chi several times during the last 4 years. We found it by accident on our first visit in San Francisco because our hotel was just around the corner, but now we have to eat there every time we're in SF. The food is absolutely great and the portions are big. I can recommend the lemon chicken which is very tasty. Two people can have a 2-course meal including drinks for around 25 dollars. The place isn't very cozy and seems old and worn out, but the food and the service makes it worth a visit.

Tai Chi does the best General Tso's chicken in San Francisco. Their Sizzling Beef and Scallops are excellent and the soups top notch. They need a upgrade on the decor but I'll keep returning even if they are only a half a step up from a hole in the wall.

The place was good! Reasonably priced food. But don't go thirsty. I would say, that the beer is kind of pricy (4 bucks for a 12 fl oz bottle)

We have been to this very good spot a number of times when visiting the city over the years. The wonton soup was a large bowl for 2 and was delicious as well as the steamed dumplings. We also shared a tasty platter of vegetable chow fun. A good reasonably priced place to eat.
