“Large portions good service”
Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

We went for an early dinner. We sat at the lounge until the upper level opened to have a better view. The bar tender was great. We discussed the wines and local beers. The local libations suggested were great.

The service was very good(but a little pretentious).

The food was great. I had the bouliabase seafood soup. Just the right seasonings.

The restuarant is very upscale, but on a wharf that is quite old an not an inviting walk.

We'll definitely go back

“The Best Seafood!”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

For fresh, delicious seafood, go to Scoma's! We have been there so many times, and can't get enough. Located in Fisherman's Wharf, it's a great location. After your big meal, you can walk off your dinner and have a great time doing it! Scoma's offers many, many different kinds of seafood, all fresh and delicious. The sourdough bread is fanastic, and you can have as much as you want. Another good reason to go to Scoma's -- they have free valet parking in their own lot, so you don't have to go around and around looking for a place to park. That's not easy in SF! Just know, before you go, to bring your wallet. It's quite pricey, but it's worth it!

“Had to come back!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

Even when I was planning my trip to San Fran I was thinking about Scoma's. This visit included lobster ravioli and seafood linguini - both of which were delicious. In addition to having lots of lobster in the ravioli there were chunks in the sauce. My boyfriend wanted a spicy dish so the waiter said he could have the linguini kicked up a notch - it was really good.

This place is always busy so don't walk in expecting to be seated in under 30 min. They have a nice bar so grab a drink and enjoy the energy and people watching.

“Seafood by the Bay”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

We always visit Scoma's when we visit San Francisco, and weren't disappointed on this trip. It's a great location, right on the bay on the edge of Fisherman's Wharf with great views, so ask for a table near the windows. The restaurant tends to be very crowded, why wouln't be with such good food. It was extremely busy for our Thursday night dinner, with America's Cup in town. I recommend reservations, we made our well in advance and only waited an additional 10 minutes. The food is fresh and very good with lots of house specialities. Scoma's is a SF landmark and continues to deliver on their reputation......make it a stop for true Bayside dining!
