While on vacation in San Francisco, someone recommended we enjoy Italian cuisine in San Francisco's Little Italy. Sodini's is the place to go! The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, it's small and crowded. Locals and tourists seem to enjoy it, and with reason. This place is great! We happened on this restaurant while walking around Little Italy on a Sunday night. We chose to go in because of the following add on the front window: "No dessert, no decaf, no reservations. Don't even ask". That immediately told us this restaurant had character. It sure did! No frou-frou, just plain good food. The spinach gnocchi was fabulous as was the tortellini. The service was good and our waiter was cheerful and a lot of fun. My husband and I enjoy restaurants with ambiance and character. Sodini's definitely delivers on both fronts. Plus, they offer really good food at a good price. A definite must when visiting San Francisco.
