Hole in the wall = gross bathroom; However the food was very good and reasonably priced. They should really do something about the bathroom.

This place was empty around 8:30 aside from frequent take-out orders. The staff was very friendly.

I got the chicken fried rice plate which was 5.95 and my husband got the hunan beef, our plan was to share both. We wished we had only gotten the chicken fried rice. It was enough to feed us both and very yummy. Quick friendly service, good food, good prices!

Everything you could expect from a small casual Chinatown restaurant. Husband and wife owners are friendly. Small and very simple but the food is great.

If you want fancy, not here. But if you want great food in a cafe setting....go!

I've eaten at so many restaurants in Chinatown that disappointed me. This time, I asked several SF friends for recommendations, and got three. After comparing reviews on TripAdvisor and elsewhere, we chose Chef Jia. They had been closed for the holidays so we were lucky that they opened on the last night of our trip. Of course, everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I'll be going back again.

The place is really simple. Had the beef with pine nuts. Sounds good but everything was overfried. Wonton soup was great and portions are hugh though. Waitress didnt let us decide to tip and added the graditute (party of 3).
