“Basic layout inside, garlic bread to die for!”
Reviewed January 16, 2012

Myself and my girlfriend ate here after a lone trip from Ireland and in need of a quick bite. A very basic simple layout with a few TV's with Hockey and Basketball on gave a laid back atmosphere. We got a slice of peperoni pizza each and a portion of garlic bread.
Prices were quite cheap and to be honest we didnt expect anything fancy or flash as the place was very basic and quiet with people mainly getting take out pizza.
The garlic bread however was like none iv had before. So tasty and real garlic cloves used. I dont know what it was but their garlic bread was just divine, a must try!!!

“Great as Ever and Prices Still Reasonable”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

Great food, great bread, and good service. I was surprised to see the meals were sill reasonably priced (average dinner $18, $10 for a burger).

We took my father in law, a real Italian from NY. He loved it!

“Little Joe's Has Gone Downhill”
Reviewed November 15, 2011

We had been dining at Little Joe's since 1971.... at its original location on Broadway, then Van Ness, 5th Street and now, on Market. The seafood stew was still great. But both the wine and beer selections were sadly disappointing. We had tiramisu for dessert, both the middle and bottom layers of teh tiramisu were dry and stale. The tiramisu must be days old. The new Little Joe's lacked ambient and the service was slow (only one wait staff was working for the whole dining area). The Market location is at one of the most shady parts of San Francisco. Little Joe's founder, Frank, must do something swift to restore Little Joe's reputation.

“85 Fifth St. is New Location!”
Reviewed September 14, 2011

The address given on Trip Advisor for Little Joe Baby Joe is incorrect. That address is many years old. Since then Franco has moved to SOMA and now has a new location at 85 Fifth St. (at Market).

It isn't in the greatest area of town, but I would not consider it unsafe. You can get off the Muni at Civic Center Station and walk one block east on Market or get off the bus right in front of the restaurant.

No difference in the food from the original location on Columbus, just not the lines. The food is good but don't expect chic yupie Italian. The place is nicely decorated and spotless.
